Artists Statement
I’m a painter from the U.S., trained at the Academy of Art University. Painting is how I express what I can’t put into words—a way of translating emotion, memory, and internal experience visually. My work is rooted in subconscious storytelling, shaped more by feeling than literal narrative. I’m drawn to the human form as a way to explore the connection between my inner world and the world around me.
Much of my imagery comes from memories—fragments of places, and moments that linger within. Film, music, and television have always played a big role in my life and their influence often shows up in my work, filtered through a sense of nostalgia. Each piece begins with stream-of-consciousness writing and evolves through sketching and gathering references. The result is a non-literal collage of personal memory and intuitive emotion.
